Forklift Operator License

OSHA Guideline 1910.178 for Powered industrial trucks (forklifts), requires that operators be trained and authorized by their employer prior to using the equipment. Computer Based Training can help individuals, staffing agencies, unions, companies and other organizations to deliver this important safety training to operators. The Forklift University online class is designed to provide either general training or lift specific training options. The information in this training has been developed form 20 years of forklift operator and trainer classes. It will provide 100% compliant instruction providing operators with general knowledge of safe lift operations. Regardless of where you take your classroom or theory training, operators will still need to review company and facility safe operations and pass a hands on evaluation of their operating skills, on the lift(s) they will be using on the job. This class will take about 90 minutes, and will require the student to pass a test with a score of 70% or better. When completed, the student will receive a temporary license along with an evaluation form that can be used by the employer to document the evaluation process.

Aerial Operator License

Beginning in 2020, OSHA adopted the new ANSI Standards for aeril safety. The new ANSI standard, A92.22 A92.24, requires that operators, occupants and supervisors receive training prior to use of an aerial lift on the job site.

This new standard changed the name of aerial lifts to Mobile Elevating Work Platform, MEWP, and re-classified scissor lifts, boom lifts, bucket trucks and forklift work platforms.

Operators MUST have a safety training and an evaluation prior to use. The Forklift University MEWP computer based training course is ANSI and OSHA compliant and will provide training certification for any MEWP lift type.
