Tuck mounted forklifts also known as piggy back, donkeys', and other names are a construction support forklift that is carried on the back of trucks. Typically carried on flatbed trucks and used to unload building materials at a job site, these lifts have very unique characteristics since they are NOT counterbalanced.

Forklift operators can get an operator license that is good for 3 years, that is specific for this type of lift and once evaluated by their employer work loading and unloading construction materials at job sites.
