Truck-Mounted Forklift Certification Training
Truck-mounted forklifts, also called piggybacks, donkeys or Moffett trucks, ride on the back of a delivery truck or flatbed and unload product at the yard or customer site. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178(l) requires every forklift operator to be trained and evaluated before operating one.
This online course teaches you to inspect the forklift, take it off and put it back on the truck safely, unload the flatbed, and protect yourself and the people around you at every delivery.
Why a separate course? Truck-mounted forklifts are not counterbalanced. They are lighter than a standard forklift and carry the load within the wheelbase, which creates tip-over hazards of their own. Standard forklift training doesn't cover them.

Does my regular forklift certification cover a truck-mounted forklift?
Not by itself. Your training has to match the type of forklift you operate, and truck-mounted forklifts handle very differently from counterbalanced ones. This course covers them on their own.
Can my crew take the course in Spanish?
Yes. The whole course and test are available in English and Spanish, and our team answers the phone in both languages at 888-674-9992.
